Will Ferrell messed up one of his first-ever lines on Saturday Night Live in 1995, and recalls the exact moment as a "flub" to this day.

The beloved Elf actor sat down with New Heights podcast hosts Jason and Travis Kelce on Friday (January 10) to discuss one of his most memorable "Welcome to Hollywood" moments.

"One of my 'Welcome to Hollywood' moments was getting to be the first member of a brand-new cast on Saturday Night Live, and I got to say the first lines of our opening show. And I'm sitting there, and they're counting down the show, and I'm looking out. My folks are in the audience, friends and family, and I'm like, 'I can't believe I'm here and I'm about to say whatever line.'"

Ferrell continued, revealing that the first time he spoke on camera on the show, he stuttered.

"A little trivia here: I mess up my line the first time I speak on camera on the show. I flub it."

However, upon further review, Entertainment Weekly unearthed the clip on Peacock to discover that the silver screen king did in fact deliver the opening line correctly, and that it was actually the second line in his first-ever SNL skit that he "flubbed."
