Ariana Grande Is Taking Break From The Internet After Pete Davidson Split

Ariana Grande is taking some time off from social media, this according to a message posted to her Instagram stories.

According to People, who has a screen shot of the message, Ariana wrote that she is taking a break from the internet, and that seeing the news (presumably around her breakup) is hard for her.

First she wrote, "Ok today was [very] special and I'm so grateful I was able to be there," in reference to her "The Wizard and I" performance during NBC's A Very Wicked Halloween special, which celebrates the iconic broadway show's 15th anniversary.

Ari then continued, "Time to say bye bye again to the internet for jus a lil bit. It's hard not to bump news [and] stuff that I'm not [trying to] see [right now]. It's very sad and we're all trying very hard to keep [going]. Love [you]. And thank [you] for [being] here always."

The 25-year-old ended her note to fans with one word: "love."

Before the show, Ari posted in her Instagram stories and talked about her anxiety battle. She wrote. "Can't believe I almost let my anxiety ruin this for me today. Not today Satan! Not tomorrow or the next day either, not no more... [gonna] sing my heart out and be a big walking vessel of love. Bye."

The news of Ariana Grande's split with Pete Davidson hit earlier this week. Neither Grande or Davidson has publicly addressed the breakup so far, but reports say that the timing was off for their relationship to get to the next level. A few insiders have also said that the death of Ari's ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, may have been a factor in the breakup

Although Ariana performed during A Very Wicked Halloween special this week, Pete was unable to make a gig of his own. Days after news of the broken engagement spread, the Saturday Night Live actor cancelled his comedy show at Temple University.

A Very Wicked Halloween is set to air on NBC on October 29th.
